Bollywood Gossip: The Bollywood 2010 IIFA Awards are scheduled to take place between June 3 – 5 in Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo, but it looks like the star power will be significantly reduced at this year’s IIFA Awards ceremony to be held June 3 – June 5 at Sri Lanka’s capital city, Colombo as the royal couple of Bollywood,Abhishek Bachchan andAishwarya Rai Bachchan wont be attending it. As per the latest buzz in Bollywood Abhishek andAishwarya Rai Bachchan are so busy working that they won’t be able to attend.

According to Aishwarya’s spokesperson “she is going for a Longines (international watch brand which the actress promotes) commitment to Paris where she will be attending the French open.” And while the former Miss World will be away in Paris, her hubby will be in Istanbul shooting his new movie “Game.”

As if Abhishek and Ash’s absence wasn’t not bad enough, rumors in the Bollywood Industry have it Amitabh Bachchan will not be there either, but for different reasons. Big B, who together with his son have been IIFA brand ambassadors for years, might stay home due to the demonstrations by Tamil groups in Mumbai that have taken place outside his house to protest that Colombo has been chosen as the venue to hold the event.
